Tallinn Highlights with lunch
This half-day tour will give you a chance to discover the main highlights of Tallinn medieval old town as well as a part of the modern city centre, with glimpse to the Kadriorg park and Pirita seaside areas. Tour also includes a lunch option. The tour is especially suitable for cruise passengers.
The tour starts with a drive around the ancient city walls, ending up at Toompea Hill for further walking tour, including both upper and lower old town parts. The highlights will include; views to Toompea castle, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Dome Church and of course some picturesque views to the red rooftops in lower old town from the viewing platform in Toompea.
In lower old town you’ll have a chance to visit the old Town Hall square with views to Old Town Hall, glimpse to the Old Town Hall Pharmacy (1422), number of old merchants houses; The Great Guild House, famous wall clock at the Church of holy Ghost.
A 2-course lunch will be served at one of the best medieval thematic restaurants in Tallinn Old Town.
The tour continues with a drive through part of the modern city centre, photo- stops at Kadriorg Park with views to KUMU Art Museum and Kadriorg Palace, further en route photo-stop at famous Tallinn Song Festival Grounds, and drive on scenic Pirita road with views to the ruins of St. Birgitta’s convent, and 1980s Olympic Yacht Regatta Centre. Tour terminates back in the city centre (for those who wish to discover this magnificent city further a bit on their own) or in the cruise port.
